The car seams to run fine but when on a long run at an even speed the engine will missfire and not always but some times the red warning light , will come on the dash saying engine fault, if the engine is switched off the fault will clear and the car will be fine for another 50-100 miles , code P2135 any idea's ?

Vehicle: Ford Camx 2005 1.6 petrol

P2135 Throttle / pedal position sensor / switch A / B voltage correlation

The throttle position switch , this would cause the engine to exhibit a misfire condition, just by turning it off the engine you reset the throttle position, You confirmed it when you restarted the engine.
