P0304 Mercury - can this cause the car to shut off while driving?

I have to codes p0304 and p0457 and either cause my 2000 grand Marquis to shut off while driving?

P0457 EVAP system (learge leak detected)

The EVAP code P0457  would not cause the the engine to turn off while driving. What P0457 is mostly cause by is a missing fuel cap or large opening in the fuel fill hose. The misfire code can depending on what the misfire is from and how severe the misfire is. and what the cause is from.
