I want to know if this error is causing that the engine is giving explotions and it´s not allowing the engine to start and continue running.

Hi there,

A bad crank position sensor will prevent the car from starting. It uses a cam and crank sensor to determine the engine timing, so if it's failed it can't see the timing and will not start. The can also be caused by a mechanical issue such as the timing being off.
