I have a 2000 Mercedes Benz ML320 V6 with code P1747, what is the meaning?

P1747 CAN from ETC (electronic throttle control)  or from insturment cluster

Check for transmission leak at its front transmission connector leading into the transmission. If there is a leak at the transmission this would be the cause for the code, When P1747 set you would use a scan tool that will read the most of the MBZ module to determine where the code was set, either the instrument panel module set it or the transmission module set it, If there a transmission leak at the front of the transmission connector you can be sure the TCM set this code.
