how do you repair this problem also how much would you estimate to repair this problem

P0505 is a code for the IAC[idle air control valve], they can stick,and do fail to open and close the air bypass to control the idle.You may want to clean the throttle body, throttle plate, and the IAC with throttle body cleaner.

If no parts are being replaced the should not cost more than $50 at a local mechanic shop. The valve might be bad though.
