2010 Chevrolet Aveo LT with code U0100

Question

My battery died and needed replacing. I bought a new battery and it was installed. After starting my car, the check engine light came on and stayed on. I took my car to an Auto Zone and the technician place it on the computer. The engine code was U0100. What does this mean? I have a 2010 Chevy Aveo
