P0523 Engine oil pressure sensor/switch circuit high voltage

The way to know is to do a oil pressure test, but more than likely this is a bad sensor or connection not making contact with the sensor

Ok but the oil light is on at idle and when i rev it up to 2000 rpms it goes out and then when reved up higher it comes back on and thats what makes me think its a bad oil pump.  So would a bad cenor cause that issue with the oil light going off and on at different rpms

You definitely need to do a oil pressure test. if it comes on at different range, the safeway is a oil pressure test. Look at the oil pan see if its has been hit which would interfere with the oil pickup tube.
