On my obdi results it says Catalyst-not ready, what does this mean?

Vehicle: 1997 Cadillac deville base 4.6 liter v8 north star

These are for the emission test, or the monitor test for a emission test, in order for the catalytic monitor to be ready a certain drive cycle has to be perfromed.
