P0340 1997 Ford F150 -

Question

I have a 1997 ford f150 4.2 liter motor I changed the cam sensor because I was getting a po340 code truck runs great no missing more power ,but after a while I still get the po340 code again what can be causing this when the po340 code or engine light comes back on the truck still running like a champ no missing or anything?

HI there,

This indicates you may not have synconized the cam sensor after installation. If this isn't done it may be out of time even slightly and the computer will pick that up and throw the code.
