I have a hyundai tucson 2005, i recently changed the engine to 2008, now what issue i am having is that the rpm hits till 6-7 normally on P N and R but when i put it into D there is no initial movement at all, the acceleration is not there and the car catches speed really slowly, however once i reach 50-60 km/h the accelaration seems fine, and at times it works fine but as soon as i cross 45-50 km/h the gear change is very jerky , anyways i got it checked and the code came up as P0722 output speed sensor no signal, thats fine, but should it be jerky in gear shifts? Or is it a whole other problem? Or if changing the sensor will fix everything?

Vehicle: 2005 hyundai tucson v4 2.0 4wd

Hi there,

This code indicates an issue with the speed sensor. This could possibly be caused by a faulty sensor or wiring to the sensor. Here is some more info for you.
