P1446 NISSAN -maxima

Question

This code 1446 is on right now, it have something to do with the evaporator canister and control valve
can someone knows what to do? is on a Nissan maxima.

The code is for the vent control valve. This is bolted to the charcoal canister and opens at certain times to allow fresh air into the canister. This is a common issue as the valve tends to rust up and stop functioning. You can remove the valve, check for the spring inside to be rusted and add power and ground to the pins to see if it is functional.

Most often the valve is replaced to resolv e the problem.
