I have a 2000 honda accord lx vtec auto on the interstate it wont go into 4th .. Help!!!

I have a 2000 accord 4cyl vtec lx automatic just bought it. It wont shift to fourth gear it just will keep raising rpms as long as I do 70 mph the rpms stay @ 2800 .. I don't think that's normal Help!!!

The RPM keeps raising this is a slipping trasmission condtion. , you can scan for any code that may have set to help find th cause for this condition
