2004 Honda Civic LX 1.7L auto the abs lite came on they said it was code p1298 they said it was the eld sensor in the fuse box. Would that cause the ABS light to come on and stay on?

This code should not turn on the ABS light. This is an engine control code, not a brake code. You need a scan tool that can communicate with the abs module to find out what code is being stored in there that turned the light on. It's likely you have a bad wheel speed sensor causing the issue with the abs.
