can this code be reset or deleted by a non-professional or illegally? I just bought this car and the engine light is not on but I saw it in past service records I got from an automotive dealer where the car was serviced, and was not repaired there. Also, when I went to get emissions test 2 places could not perform the test saying their computers could not read the car computer. Any ideas? thank you

This code can be cleared using a scan tool, a code reader or by disconnecting the battery for 24 hours. This code will usually only pop up when there is a problem with the mass air flow sensor or the power supply to the sensor.
