I had the "Stop Safely Now" illumination warning come up on my 2012 F250. I was towing a light load. Vehicle has only 31000 miles. I had just changed the oil & filter prior to the start of this particular trip and reset the oil maintenance reminder on the system. Had only traveled approx 150 miles when the vehicle warning came on, started to lose power, then shifted gears on its own to try and regain speed. I slowed down each time the warning would come on. It was intermittent for at least 10 times during my trip. I managed to arrive at my destination, late in the evening. The following day, vehicle stalled on me while idling in parking lot, tough time restarting it. managed to get it going once I disconnected the batteries, thinking it would reset the computers. While driving again, the vehicle stalled at intersection, got the truck out of traffic, disconnected batteries three times & disconnected the computer receptacles to reset.

P2479 Exhaust temperature out of range Bank 1 Sensor 2

P200E Catalytst system over temperature (Bank 1)

P200C Diesel particulate filter over temperature Bank 1

P2479 is a code that resulted in the engine being is a reduce mode. So there is only 2 valid codes that need further investigation, P200E and P200C, these would code together.  Ford has a TSB for these condition TSB # 14-0174. You may qualify for the warranty for the EGT sensor replacement
