P0302 Volkswagen -

Question

Along with check engine light showing P0302 code, the EPC light comes on randomly. Car does not stutter, but it did die once while driving (and EPC light on). Are there any connections between P0302 code and EPC light?

P0302 Misfire number 2 cylinder

The EPC is the Electric Power Control. If there is a malfucntion with the EPC the ECM switches on the EPC. Clear the code condition , If there is a misfire with any of the cylinder that has to be resolved. If the misfire is not present or rough idle the misfire code could be the result of the EPC , this would be with the TPS (throttle position sensor) or with the throttle body.
