P0500 2008 Toyota Camry -

Hi,
I have Toyota camry 2008 model. Two days before all of a sudden while I was driving ABS, Hand Brake & Check Engine lights came on. I switched off the vehicle and the ABS motor does not stops and runs continuously even when the car key is removed. I have removed the ABS cable to avoid motor getting burned. Got the computer check done and it showed the code P0500. May I know as per your experience what can be the cause of the problem and how can it be rectified...Thanks in advance.

HI there,

This indicates a short to the abs module to keep it running like that. The code itself is there because you have the ABS module unplugged. The code is for the vehicle speed sensor, which is sent to the speedometer from the abs module. You need to have the codes read in the abs system to start a diagnosis.
