P0172 P0306, P0308 2001 Ford F150 -

Question

all three codes set at the same time and the truck has black smoke out of tail pipes, has new plugs and coils less than 6 months ago, this just started today out of no where.

P0172 Fuel trim rich Bank 1

P0306 Misfire number 6 cylinder

P0308 Misfire number 8 cylinder

Any unusual noise? Check the fuel pressure regulator remove the vacuum hose, with the engine at idle there should be vacuum for the fuel pressure regulator, if fuel is coming out of the fuel pressure regulator vacuum connection you need to replace the fuel pressure regulator
