INTERMITTENT WILL FIRE AND WON'T RUN

CODE P2799 TOYOTA KLUGER GSU45R 2GR-FE 2007 WE HAVE CHECKED OBVIOUS AND CHANGED BATTERY IN KEY REMOTE. WE NEED SOME HELP AS WE THOUGHT WE HAD FIXED IT AND WHEN THE CUSTOMER CAME TO COLLECT IT WOULDN'T START.

B2799 Engine immobilizer system malfunction

Has the transponder key assembly been replaced. this is usually a communication problem , if the transponder assembly has been replaced, the only problem would be with the ECM, not reading the key transponder
