DSC SYSTEM FAULT, NO CRUISE AVAILABLE, Engine Stalls in passing gear.

Question

2002 Jaguar X, 3.0 v6. The DSC System Fault Light comes on, (no Cruise available). The codes were p0171 & p0174. Sometimes it will stall in passing gear,, What is wrong?

P0171 Fuel trim lean Bank 1

P0174 Fuel trim lean Bank 2

Lean condition is where there is too much to fuel ratio, the first area is to inspect air leakage from the MAF air duct to the thrrottle body for this condition

Would it eventually stop running if this wasn't repaired soon? or do any harm to the engine..? I have to make a trip before the repairs can be made, just wondering if I should rent another car for now...
