p2096 & p2098 catalyst fuel trim system bank1&2 too lean

Question

I have a 2011 ford f150 fx2 3.5 EcoBoost and my engine light keeps coming on the obd2 codes are p2096 & p2098. Which say catalyst converters bank 1 & 2 are running lean I have duel exhaust & aNe cold air intake. I just want a stock muffler so the truck is quite instead it sounds like it has flow masters so what should I do to have a nice quite truck? The codes read post catalyst fuel trim system bank1 & bank2 are too lean any suggestions?

Hi there,

Based on the mods I would say you may need a different mass air flow sensor. If you didn't change that with the cold air intake, then the system is probably running lean because of the extra air coming in through the intake. In most cases when you install a code air intake you need a tune to get the sensors to read right.
