I just have my 2005 nissan Pathfinder's catalytic converter replaced and after two weeks it is still giving me the same code. is it possible that the mechanic who worked on it contaminated the new catalytic converter when he installed it?

Hi there,

It isn't possible for the mechanic to contaminate the converter. The most common issues when the code continues to come back are, a bad rear O2 sensor, used an aftermarket converter and put the wrong side converter on the truck. You may also want to try filling up at a different station. Sometimes some of the additives in the fuel will bring on this code as well.
