Chevrolet Silverado 1500 w/4.3 Vortec

Question

2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with a 4.3 Vortec engine.... Engine total shut down but has a code of P0122... Turns over and attempts to start, but does not start... Every thing checks good for fire & timing.

P0122 Throttle position sensor open or short to ground

A short to ground with the TPS sensor will afffect the operation of the MAP Manifold absolute pressure) sensor, and this could be the reason for the hard to start situation.

The throttle position sensor is located on the throttle body.These are non adjustable sensor.
