P0420 Honda - PRELUDE SH

Question

I have the above code on 99 Honda Prelude SH

What can be the problem?

The shield is OFF the converter and can be re-attached.

Will this help if it is re-attached?

Hi there,

Attaching the shield won't help. Basically the inside of the converter is not cleaning the exhaust enough to make the rear O2 sensor happy. This can be due to a faulty converter, a poor running car or the rear O2 sensor. You may also get this code if you have an exhaust leak before the converter.
