2011 Mercedes benz ML350 QBD code PO410

Question

My 2011 MB ML350 is running and driving great , no problems. Except the check engine light has come on. I am getting a code of PO410 "secondary air injection system". When I talked to the dealer they said it was going to be a lot of money to fix, but I can't find anything broke. Don't want to spend a lot of cash for nothing.

P0410 Malfunction of the secondary air injection

When the first starts up from a cold start the air injection pump should turn on. If you can listen for it that would be a good indcation that the air injection is non operational.
