p0463 code still on after i reset and replaced fuel pump and float

Question

bought a fuel pump and it came with the float. pulled out entire pump and replaced. i put it back in and reset the code and the check engine light still comes on with p0463. what else could it possibly be now?

P0463 Fuel level sensor circuit high input

Circuit high code means poor conection to that particular sensor, inspect the connection for any open or disconnected wire to that particular sensor

 Here a terminal connection that had coded a circuit high condition inpsecting the terminals revealed the reason for the circuit high code. a burnt terminal connection.
