P0340 Camshaft position sensor circuit malfunction

If the engine does not start, you can set a P0340 this would be due to the engine excessive cranking and no start , Even with a camshaft position sensor code the the engine should be able to start, it would not run right but it would start. Timing belt that is broken can set a P0340. , Even with a broken T-belt the engine would still produse a igntion spark , but a no start, and set a P0340. No fuel such as the fuel pump that area has to be checked.
