P1635  5 Volts refference A circuit problem

Yes, this code will cause the engine to stall out, and stall out unexpectedly, what this circuit control are the EGR,the TPS sensor, and the MAP sensor, if any one of these sensor shorts out internally then you would loose the 5 volts refference and the engine would stall. In a majority of finds for P1635 was none of the sensor where at fault, but it was with the ECM and the ECM connection, what happens is just where the location of the ECM is at, water tended to intrude into the ECM and the ECM connection where corrosion had built up. If there is a chip at the ECM and the ECM connection that has to be inspected or corrosion. Disconnect the battery and disconnect the ECM connector and inspect for corrosion if corrosion is found you can use a electrical cleaner to make proper connections.
