Got a misfiring #2 cyl. Car ran fine when first started. Could drive fine until turned car off. Now it's completly missing. Engine code is P0302. Changed spark plugs. Boot is sparking fine. Just installed a new fuel injector. Car ran fine for a minute. Then misfire again. Any thoughts appreciated.

Vehicle: mitsubishi galant, 4 cyl 2005

P0302 Misfire number 2 cylinder

How about the igntion coil , that can cause the misfire condition, what you can do is move ignition coil number 2 to a different working cylinder. If the misfre moves then you can be sure the misfire is with the ignition coil.

When it comes to a cylinder misfire the igntion is mostly the likely cause for the misfire .
