P0174 BMW - model- 525i meaning and repair cost

Message on the indicator says - service engine soon...the code upon checking was P0174.

Hi there,

This code is for a lean fuel mixture on bank 2 of the engine. Normally when it's only affecting one bank of the engine the problem is the front O2 sensor. This code can also be caused by leaking intake manifold gaskets or a problem with the mass air flow sensor.
