P0031-Tips or tools required to remove/replace H02S low bank 1 sensor 1, air fuel relay, fuse? P0724-Tips or tools required to repair/replace brake switch B circuit high?
P0031 Oxygen (A/F) sensor heater control Circuit low Bank 1
P0724 Brake switch "B" circuit high
P0031 is for the airflow sensor commonly reffered to as the oxygen sensor, this is for Bank 1, which is located where cylinder 1 is located at, because this is a airflow sensor it is the upstream which is before the catalytic convertor. As for the tool use it a 7/8 wrench or 22 mm wrench or better a 02 sensor socket to remove the 02 sensor, More than likely P0031 is not going to be a fuse or relay, you would code both banks P0031 is more the heater resistor of the airflow sensor. but it doesnt hurt to check the fuse. it is in the relay fuse box listed as EFI fuse. As for P0724 this is going to be for the brake pedal switch check the brake lights if the brake light is always on, you would code a P0724. there at the brake pedal is the brake switch . You may just have the rubber stopper that may have fallen out, or the brake pedal switch fell out, P0724 can also be set if you drive with both feet , using fuel and brake at the same time.
The location for the brake switch will be at the brake pedal
You need to check to see if the brake pedal switch pushed its way out
Here brake pedal switch its plunger is not all the way seated on the stopper, this would cause the brake light to stay on, and as a result you would code a P0724, you would also not have cruise control, in this Tacoma the brake switch to remove you would twist out, Your may have a 14 mm nut or a 12 mm nut which you would need to unscrew out to remove. You may also might have a rubber stopper that may have just fallen out.
