My 2001 Ford Explorer 4Cyl with code p0171 Too Lean Bank1, how do I fix the code?

This code usually indacates a problem with an intake manifold leak, rear O2 senosr or a problem with the fuel pump pressure. I would start with the engine running, spraying some carb cleaner around the intake and see if the engine starts running smoother or the idle speed increases. It may also be a problem with the mass air flow sensor.
