what is bank 1 and bank 2 sensors

Question

my engine light is on and readings are bank 1 and bank2 sensors so what do I do to fix this is it the catilac convertor ?

Bank 1 and Bank 2 these are location Bank 1 is where cylinder number is located and Bank 2 is the other side of where Bank 1 is located, this code would not be for the catalytic but for a oxygen sensor
