P0174 Ford -

Question

i have a 2003 ford ranger 4x4,automatic with 4.0 sohc motor.it is harder starting on ocassion and has no or very little acceleration at times as well,but both problems are spuradic,i have got a p0174 code on my scan tool.just wondering if there is a specific area i should be targetting ? i have replaced maf,fuel filter and air filter,and cleaned iac. i have ordered a new tps. the pcv valve is functioning and dont appear to have any vacuum leaks as i checked around intake and hoses with brake clean with no change in rpm. any info would be much appreciated.

P0174 Fuel trim lean Bank 2

The MAF air duct, make sure it not broken taking in false air and properly secured, with a good airfilter that not plugged.

 The MAF air duct should not have any tears that would allow false air to get past the MAF sensor

 A broken MAF air duct will cause a lean code condition with a lack of power for acceleration
