Any recalls for engine temp sensor probs? Could the computer be wrong?

Question

"engine temp sensor circuit problem" and "fuel volume regulation problem" reported by (non BMW) mechanic, after checking car computer during 40,000km service. No problems encountered when driving. Is this likely to be correct? If so, how serious?

Yes there is a Recall or a Campaign for the engine temperature sensor Campaign # M170512, this is for the engine temperature sensor retro fit, Campaign # M170412 all for the engine coolant temperature sensor,what happens if this is not corrected it can cause inaccurate temperature reading, difficulty in starting the engine,or the illumination of the CK ENG LT.
