I got the engine code P1457 on my 2003 Honda Pilot

Can exhaust from another malfunctioning vehicle cause this service code or trigger the check engine light?

I was behind a school bus emitting thick white unusual smelling smoke and within a couple minutes the check engine light came on with a p1457 code when I had it checked at the auto parts store the next day.
