2010 Camry. I notice some slippage when turning left or U-turn going left. The dealership says I need the C1201 and C1231. I don't know what they do. Cost is $4000 to repair. Please help!

C1201 Vehicle stabilty control system - Engine control system malfunction

C1231 Vehicle stabilty control system -Steering wheen angle sensor circuit malfunction

If there is a DTC (diagnostice trouble code) or the CK ENG LT on P1201 just mean it turned the TRAC and ABS system off. The reason, is for safety, the vehicle is not operating at manufctuer specification C1231 is for the steering angle sensor. If  the steering angle zero calibration was   reset., and C1231 reappears,  the brake actuator assembly and the skid control ECU would be the malfunctioning.
