1999 Honda Accord codes 1381

Question

my 1999 Honda Accord is is losing power while running but it won't shot off took to have put in the computer and it gave me this code 1381 please help

P1381 Cylinder position (CYP) sensor intermittent interuption

This code condition will not cause you to loose power while the engine is running, If it was not for a CK ENG LT you would not realize you have a code condition at all.

 The CYP sensor is  located in the distributor, Alot of the cause for this code condition is with the CYP sensor,Since your vehicle is loosing power while driving check the condition of the igntion rotor, it possible it may have slipped out of  position causing the engine to loose power.

 Another cause for P1318 would be the charging system, Check  the charging system , for proper charging condition.

 There is a TSB from Honda for P1318, What the TSB wants you to do is to check for a missing coil shield.
