P1406 EGR valve position circuit

This code mean that the EGR is not responding to commands from the PCM. or its not in a acceptable range, The #10 if you have this from a scantool reading it would mean its a history code.

P1406 is mostly do to a failing EGR system, where its pintle is not operating and moving they way it suppose to,

P1406 can mean the EGR is stuck closed. The worste P1406 is when the EGR is stuck in the open position. This is where rough idle , hard to start, high RPM would be cause by a open EGR
