My mechanic said the code was "boost calibration fault", but he doesn't know what it means. The Explorer is shaking, has poor gas mileage, and the "service engine soon" light was flashing. A week before this it was already shaking sometimes, the light was also flashing, and then the code said I had a faulty oxygen sensor which I replaced.
What you have is a misfire condition which can be with the sparkplugs , sparkplug wire , and or ignition coil pack. There has been incidents where especialy windstars code a P1300, and has lack a of acceleration, and gets worse as the a/c is turned on.
P1300 is boost calibration fault. This is not a valid code for your vehicle. A Ford windstar came in with a P1300. it also had a front noise at the drive belt area. and a rough idle condition. that smoothens out then gets rough idle. . In the back of the harmonic balancer is the crankshaft position sensor and on the harmonic balancer is the pulse wheel for the crank position sensor. The harmonic balancer broke internally and as a result shifted the crank to cam timing. this explained the rough idle and misfire. The fix was to replace the harmonic balancer.Have the harmonic balancer checked,
