ENGINE IDLING TO HIGH

HAVING A PROBLEM WITH MY ENGINE RUNNING AT OR AROUND 2,000 RPMs. i START THE TRUCK AND THE ENGINE RACES UP TO 2.000 RPMs, THEN IT GOES DOWN TO AROUND 1,500 RPMs. aFTER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME WHILE SITTING AT THE 1,500 RANGE IT WILL RACE BACK UP TO THE 2,000 RANGEWHAT IS UR DIANOTIC OF THIS PROBLEM

The idle speed control ,there are 2 different types of idle peed control for the Tacoma, one is electrical controled the other is mechanical controled, try doing a throttle body cleaning for either one of the idle speed control , and check the coolnat level for proper level.
