P1491 Dodge -

Question

Code P1491, swapped relay with fog lights, turned of fog lights and they did not work, relay got very hot, installed the fog light relay in the rad condenser fan spot and nothing happened, hot wired the condenser fan and it works,

I have a 1999 dodge Durango and check engine light are on, many meckanics they still not found the  problem. I still not  inspected because of the problem

P1491 Radiator fan relay control circuit

 You would still have to check both the fuse for the fan. If you bypass the relay and the cooling fan came on, this leaves you with the PCM as bing the problem. The radiator fan relay control gets its ground signal from the PCM
