P0401 1998 Honda Accord -

What do I change .. Sometimes smells strong of gas .

P0401 EGR flow insuffcient flow detected

The the EGR is the exhaust gas recirculation. This definetly would not be the cause of strong gas smell, The strong gas smell has to be a fuel leak somewhere. check at the fuel injector and fuel lines going to the engine,as well as the fuel pressure regulator

The fuel pressure regulator is one area that should also be check as well as the fuel injectors and fuel line

Here a fuel pressure regulator that leak fuel , the vacuum hose was pulled out and sure enough fuel just squirted out.
