P0703 wat dose it mean??? I have random misfire every so often but not constant. U can feel the car misfire while driving but it goes away whn given more throttle. Changed plugs an ran seaphom in fuel an oil.
What you listed is P0703 which is 3rd gear ratio error. As the random misifre every so often there are a variety of reason for the misfire, When you accelerate it goes away, check the sparkplug boots that are worn or even torn and replace the sparkplug boot if torn , Here are a variety of check to look for
Here is a sparkplug boot that has a rip this cause a Random misfire at load, it did not give a cylinder identification of what cylinder was the causing the misfire, you can can feel the misfire as you accelerate the vehicle, The fix. the sparkplug boot replaced
Here another misfire condition , this one came from a transmission shop that did a tune up, not knowing what the cause of the misfire was from. This one coded a P0301 going to cylinder 1 the injector connection was not properly secured its locking tabs where broken so the connection did not stay put, this coded a P0300 and a P0301, the fix was using a zip tie to secure the connection
Here another fix this one dealt with the ignition coil it coded a P0303 the owner did a recent tune up , this one had a misfire as you acclerated but then smothed out at highway speed, this misfire you can only feel at idle, The owner not knowing that the locking tabs where broken. The fix was the use of a zip tie to hold the connection properly
Here a zip tie as the fix. Coil fix not shown, I silicone it on.
