I HAVE A 2003 CIVIC HYBRID WITH A CODE OF 1600 AND 1440...HELP!

I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER AND THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS THEY SAID THEYVE TRIED A NEW ECM AND OTHER THINGS, NOW THEY WANT TO TAKE OUT THE TRANNY WHICH IS GONNA COST ME 900+ AND DONT KNOW IS THAT WILL FIX THE PROBLEM. I FEEL LIKE THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.... HELP !!!

P1600  IMA system malfunction

P1440 IMA system problem

P1600 is just a informative code condtion this mean the IMA has detected a problem . P1440 If the ECM was replaced and the software was not correct you can get a P1440. P1440 this is a incorrect software,

REYNALDO, THE DEALER SAID THEY TRIED A NEW ECM AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND IMA LIGHT STILL CAME ON,I DONT KNOW IF THEY UPDATED THE SOFTWARE AFTER INSTALLING THE ECM OR NOT, BUT I'M AT MY WITS END AND DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.

P1440 this a software issue. Honda has produced a TSB for this condition. I have dealt with P1440 and all that was done was update the software which was bought for a Honda dealer. What happens when P1440 appear the MCM or the ECM incorrectly detects a problem with the IMA. P1440 the ECM is not programed correctly, for this year make and model its  a tricky update procedure.  It tricky because if you use  a generic scan tool it  will only give a set amount of code there are other code that are set in the ECM that will not make itself known,Try talking to a different Honda dealer or some place that knows how to deal with P1440. Who ever does deal with P1440 has to have a Honda interface scantool to update the ECM
