2007 F150 Replaced the fuel level sensorbut still get code. What next,anyone?

Get Code P)462. Replaced fuel level sensor on advice of Ford mechanic. Still getting code. Another says it is the instrument cluster and will cost big bucks to replace. I have identified a place thagt can supposeably repair the cluster. Anyone, any suggesions?

P0462 Fuel level sensor A circuit low

Recheck the code if you can gather a "B" code this for the Body code, if there is a B1201 then yes the insturment panel.P0460 and P0463 if you ever got these code together it is a definite problem with the insturument cluster. P0462 was a very prominent code with Ford, these where set due to the fuel used causing  the sending unit develop high resistance in the fuel level sensor. If the fuel level sensor failed to fix P0462 this is a very rare condition. Before you send the  instrument panel out you still have to deal with the possibilty the the fuel level input is not shorting to ground. The best way to know for sure is gather the "B" code
