I have a 2001 PoC dodge dakota which has always had a stumble at 2400 RPM from new. dodge claimed it was "characteristic". The engine light came on with a P0300 code at 8000 miles after I hit the stumble a few times because I did not shift before 2400 RPM. dodge would not fix it because it was out of warranty. Now it has a P0302 code which is a cylinder 2 misfire. Are the codes related or is the previous random misfire something else? I hesitate to put any money into this PoC and certainly would not take it to any dodgy dodge dealer. Currently has about 15,000 miles because it is such a PoC I only drive it if necessary. I would put a Mitsubishi motor in it before wasting my time with dodge.
