P0340 -2005 neon 2.0 stalled wont start,timing is on

2005 neon just stalled came up code p0340,miss on cylinder 1 and random miss,wont start,timing is on

Hi there,

As you know the code P0340 is for the cam position sensor. I would start by replacing the cam sensor. If the timing is on but the sensor is bad, then the car won't want to start. Then clear the codes and see if the misfire codes return or not. If not, then I would double check the timing and the wiring from the cams sensor to the computer.
