po306 2000 Chevy monte carlo

My 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo SS shows code PO306 and has excessive white smoke that smells like gas coming out of the exhaust what is causing this problem

P0306 Misfire number 6 cylinder

Excessive white smoke , could be injector that stayed in the open position just dumping fuel into the cylinder. that or you have a blow intake or head gasket,putting water into the cylinder, You can disconnect the number 6 fuel injector  and see if the white smoke stop thats if the cause is from the ECM,or the fuel injector is stuck mechanically ,
