I have 2 readings, P1174 and P0174. Both deal with fuel issues. My engine light is on and now my remote starter is not working. Didnt happen until the engine light came on. I just put fuel in from Esso late last night and it kicked on about 40 kms after I put the fuel in, So I'm pretty sure the engine light came on due to the fuel and will switch off once that fuel is burnt out. Jus twondering becuase there are 2 error codes that the remote starter will not turn on. It has never not started prior to this incident.

P1174 Fuel trim cylinder balance Bank 1

P0174 Fuel trim system lean Bank 2

When the CK ENG LT comes on for a lean code condition you need to disregard any transmission symptoms and ABS and traction control until the fuel trim is repaired. Fault in the fuel trim will cause harsh transmission shift. If you believe that this codnition was due to the fuel, you can clear the codes, this will reset the fuel trim long and short fuel trim . Just for benefit of doubt there is a PCV hose that tends to break at its bend check it condition if it torn this can cause the lean condition. also make sure the oil level is adequate.
